Brazos County, TX — February 12, 2024, Karen Riedel was injured in a car accident just after 6:00 p.m. along Wellborn Road, F.M. 2154.
According to authorities, 75-year-old Karen Riedel was traveling in a southbound Acura on Wellborn Road attempting a left turn onto the on-ramp for Harvey Mitchell South when the accident took place.
As the Acura attempted the left turn, the front end of a northbound Jeep Wrangler occupied by a 22-year-old man collided with the front right side of the Acura. Officials state that it is unclear which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the accident.
Riedel sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; the 22-year-old from the Jeep incurred apparently moderate injuries, as well. They were both taken to local medical facilities in order to receive appropriate treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
