According to these reports, 51-year-old Juan Murillo Urbina was on foot attempting to collect some debris from the active lanes of the freeway when he was hit by a southbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Houston, TX — July 22, 2024, a man was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 11:45 p.m. along I.H. 45, North Freeway.
According to authorities, a man was on foot attempting to cross the active lanes of North Freeway in the vicinity of Aldine Bender Road when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the man was struck by a motor vehicle. The victim suffered reportedly fatal injuries due to the collision and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
