Garland, TX — June 7, 2024, Josue Chepetla and one other were injured as the result of a two-car accident at around 2:30 a.m. along Forest Crest Drive.
According to initial details from authorities, the collision happened in the area of South Forest Crest Drive and Norma Drive.

Investigators said that 29-year-old Josue Chepetla was in a Mazda 5 that was parked alongside Forest Crest. A Dodge Charger driven by a 26-year-old woman was apparently passing by. It appears the driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes, causing the Charger to crash into Chepetla’s vehicle and another parked vehicle.
Due to the collision, details suggest that Chepetla had serious injuries while a passenger in the Charger, a 23-year-old man, reportedly had moderate injuries. No further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
The events are described rather as rather straightforward, but it’s not common someone makes a mistake like this. It’s rather odd behavior, and it makes me wonder if there’s more to this story. Do authorities know more here, or could they possibly have overlooked something important?
