Corpus Christi, TX — October 28, 2023, Jordan Lee Michael Peña was injured following a motorcycle accident at around 2:18 a.m. on Highway 358.
According to initial details about the crash, it happened along eastbound lanes of the highway near Baywood Lane.
Investigators said that 37-year-old Jordan Lee Michael Peña was on a Honda motorcycle going eastbound on the highway. The motorcycle apparently lost control, causing the motorcycle to crash along the right side of the roadway.
Authorities said that Peña sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. There did not appear to be anyone else involved.

Authorities haven’t specified a cause for the accident, and I can only hope they didn’t jump to any hasty conclusions. Any motorcyclist out there knows people are quick to blame them for crashes even when they don’t know all the facts. I know from working with many motorcyclists that they’re usually safer drivers than people in cars. That’s why it’s best to let the evidence speak for itself, but these current statements just aren’t thorough enough to know if that happened here.
