San Antonio, TX — December 28, 2023, Jennifer Almaraz and an allegedly drunk driver were injured following a car accident around 5:45 a.m. on Medical Drive.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened at the intersection of Medical Drive and Fredericksburg Road.
According to authorities, 42-year-old Jennifer Almaraz was in a Subaru Forester going northbound on Fredericksburg and crossing the Medical Drive intersection. As Almaraz was doing so, it appears a southbound Lexus SUV crashed head-on into Almaraz’s vehicle, causing it to overturn onto its roof.
Due to the collision, Almaraz had apparently serious injuries while the other driver had reportedly moderate injuries. Authorities allege that the Lexus driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, and there was a recommendation for the driver to be charged with intoxication assault. No further information is available at this time.
