UPDATE (January 10, 2024): The identity of the victim who was injured in this incident has been confirmed as 18-year-old Xavier Jones.
Lewisville, TX — December 5, 2023, Jee Her was killed and one other person was injured in a car accident just after 6:00 a.m. along S.H. 121.
According to reports, 20-year-old Jee Her and an 18-year-old man were pushing a reportedly disabled Honda Civic along the far left lane of southwest bound S.H. 121 in the vicinity just southwest of Valley Parkway in order to remove it from the roadway when the accident took place.
A Hyundai Elantra, which had been traveling behind another vehicle in the middle lane of southwest bound S.H. 121, allegedly switched over to the far left lane where it collided with the two pedestrians, the Honda, and a Ford Mustang which had been parked on the left shoulder.
Her reportedly sustained fatal injuries because of the crash; he was declared deceased at the scene. The 18-year-old pedestrian incurred suspected severe injuries; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been clear and dry. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time.
