Van Zandt County, TX — February 21, 2024, James Timothy Curry was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 7:30 p.m. along S.H. 19.
According to authorities, a Ford Escape was traveling westbound on County Road 4205 at the S.H. 19 intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Ford entered the intersection at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front end of the Ford and the right side of a northbound motorcycle occupied by 46-year-old James Curry.
Curry incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
