Chambers County, TX — May 29, 2024, James Jones and one other person were injured in a car accident just after 12:15 p.m. along Hatcherville Road.
According to authorities, 49-year-old James Jones and a 37-year-old woman were traveling in a northbound BMW on Hatcherville Road in the vicinity north of F.M. 1942 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a northbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck occupied by a 22-year-old woman on Hatcherville Road collided with the rear-end of the BMW. This collision caused the pickup truck to swerve left toward the oncoming southbound lane of traffic where it was involved in a secondary collision with the left side of the trailer of an 18-wheeler.
Jones suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The man from the pickup sustained moderate injuries, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
