Cherokee County, TX — December 9, 2023, Jakob McCullough, William Kinney, and one other person were injured in a car accident just after 10:00 p.m. along C.R. 3211.
According to reports, 22-year-old Jakob McCullough, 23-year-old William Kinney, and a 21-year-old man were traveling in a southbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck in the vicinity just north of C.R. 3208 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that—for reasons yet to be confirmed—the pickup truck swerved right, leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree. The collision caused the truck to spin 180 degrees, coming to a stop some distance south of the tree and facing north in the ditch on the west side of the road. All three occupants of the truck reportedly sustained suspected serious injuries due to the wreck; they were transported to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment.
The accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been clear and dry. There are not currently any more details pertaining to this incident.
