Wilmer, TX — December 29, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident at approximately 11:15 p.m. along Julius Schepps, the I.H. 45 service road.
According to reports, a 53-year-old man was traveling in a southbound 18-wheeler along Julius Schepps in the vicinity approximately a quarter of a mile south of Pleasant Run Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It allegedly veered off of the right side of the roadway and crashed into a ditch on the west side of the road. The 53-year-old sole occupant of the vehicle reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was taken to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment.
