Bastrop County, TX — December 30, 2023, Hector Luna Garcia was injured in a car accident shortly after 4:00 p.m. along State Highway 95.
According to reports, 42-year-old Hector Luna Garcia was traveling in a northbound Nissan Armada SUV along S.H. 95 in the vicinity south of the County Road 50 intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unconfirmed reasons, the SUV failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It was allegedly driving erratically before it swerved off of the right side of the road, across the shoulder, and into the ditch on the east side of the highway. It then barreled through a fence before overturning and rolling an unknown number of times before coming to stop on its wheels facing south in a field.
Garcia, the sole occupant of the vehicle, incurred suspected serious injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
