Potter County, TX — January 22, 2024, Georgia Jean Berry was injured in a single-car accident shortly before 9:15 p.m. along Willow Creek Drive.
According to reports, 38-year-old Georgia Jean Berry was traveling in a westbound Volkswagen Tiguan SUV on Willow Creek Drive at the Farm to Market 2176 intersection when the accident occurred.
Willow Creek Drive ends at a T-shaped intersection with F.M. 2176. Officials indicate that, for as yet unconfirmed reasons, the SUV failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. Neither did it make either a right or a left turn onto F.M. 2176. Rather, it reportedly continued straight, crossing over F.M. 2176 and barreling through the barrow ditch on the west side of the road. The SUV then purportedly continued its westward trajectory, vaulting over a fence and landing in a field.
Berry incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
