Laguna Vista, TX — November 9, 2024, Fernando Garcia and Hazel Castañeda were killed in a single-car accident at approximately 12:45 a.m. along S.H. 100.
According to authorities, Fernando Garcia and Hazel Castañeda —ages 20 and 19, respectively—were traveling in an eastbound Dodge Charger on State Highway 100 in the vicinity of the Evergreen Street intersection when the accident took place.
Weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not yet been reported. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Charger was involved in a single-vehicle car accident. Both Garcia and Castañeda reportedly suffered fatal injuries over the course of the accident. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time.
