Kansas City, MO — December 27, 2023, a driver was killed following a semi-truck accident at around 1:32 p.m. along Interstate 435.
Preliminary details in the news about the deadly wreck say it happened in the area of I-435 northbound and Eastwood Trafficway.
According to current statements, the victim was the driver of a Ford F-150 that was going northbound along the interstate. Up ahead, a Mack truck apparently was disabled in one of the travel lanes. The pickup approaching the semi-truck somehow wasn’t able to avoid the truck, and it crashed into the back of the semi.
As a result of the collision, the pickup driver sustained fatal injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Authorities said the truck was stationary due to an unspecified mechanical issue. Additional details about contributing factors are unavailable right now.
