Harris County, TX — January 11, 2024, a Sheriff’s Deputy and two others were injured after a truck accident early Thursday along Interstate 10.
Initial details reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Department say the crash happened at around 6:54 a.m. in the Channelview area near Cedar Lane.
According to current statements, a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy was along the side of eastbound lanes of the freeway. The cruiser stopped at a previous minor crash involving two other vehicles, and it was said to be parked “to partially cover the crash scene.” While there, it appears a truck pulling a trailer crashed into the previous accident scene.
Due to the collision, the deputy and two others at the scene were injured. The injuries weren’t specified, but statements say Life Flight was called to the scene. It’s unclear right now if any charges were filed, and the cause of the crash remains unspecified.
