Odessa, TX — November 22, 2023, Debra Reyes Jimenez was injured following an alleged intoxicated driver accident at 10:48 p.m. along Andrews Highway.
Authorities said in their initial statements on the crash that the accident happened at the intersection of U.S. 385/Andrews Highway and West University Boulevard.
It appears from investigations that 57-year-old Debra Reyes Jimenez was the driver of a Ford Focus that was going southbound on Andrews. While crossing the University intersection, authorities say a northbound Chevy Silverado failed to yield making a left turn, and it crashed into Reyes Jimenez’s vehicle.
Reyes Jimenez reportedly had serious injuries as a result of the collision while it appears no one else was hurt. Authorities allege that the pickup driver was under the inlfuence of alcohol at the time of the crash. There was a recommendation for an intoxication assault charge, however it’s unclear if official charges were filed. No further information is available right now.
