How Did This Accident Occur?

I find that a lot of people hear about vehicles crashing at an intersection, and they immediately assume a cellphone must have played a role. To be clear, when I get a serious car accident case, cellphones are the first thing I look at, as well. However, there’s a difference between looking into a common factor and jumping to conclusions. It’s important investigations are also able to cover unusual possible factors.

Was there some kind of vehicle defect? Was there an issue with signage or road markings at the intersection? Was someone experiencing a medical emergency? Are sightlines a problem here? Even if something seems unlikely, it’s up to the evidence to rule it out. So, either authorities will be able to look at this from all angles and get clear answers, or it will be up to independent professionals to dig deeper and leave no stone unturned.
