How Did This Accident Occur?

Police seemingly have made up their minds about what happened in this crash, charging the truck driver with reckless driving for trying to pass in a restricted area, but what it they’re wrong? That doesn’t happen often, but it does happen.

If authorities are right about this crash, then it’s worth looking at the company that employed the driver. Did the company properly vet the driver before hiring him? Did ensure he had sufficient training before being put on the road in a commercial vehicle?

Answering those questions is likely beyond the purview of police, who typically focus on the crash itself. Those affected by this crash may need to engage an independent investigator to identify everyone who is responsible for it.
