Van Wert County, OH — February 21, 2024, Carrie Jo Lamm and Ronald Sallee were injured in a truck accident shortly before 7:00 a.m. along U.S. 224.
According to authorities, Carrie Jo Lamm was traveling in a Chrysler minivan along U.S. Highway 224 in the vicinity of Old Tile Factory Road when the accident took place.
The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the minivan was involved in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler occupied by Ronald Sallee. Lamm was reportedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extracted upon the arrival of emergency personnel.
Lamm incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the accident and was flown to an area hospital in order to receive immediate treatment. Sallee apparently sustained minor injuries, as well, but did not need to be transported for further care.
