How Did This Accident Occur?

A lot of folks see single-vehicle car accidents and immediately assume the driver must have been doing something wrong. As common as things like speeding and distracted driving are, there are all kinds of other factors to consider. Medical conditions, tire blowouts, vehicle defects, alcohol, road hazards, etc. Likely or not, these should all at least be ruled out.

That’s why it can be crucial for victims and families to follow up with authorities early on. If they find authorities are looking into all of these possible factors, they can rest assured the crash is likely in good hands. But if it seems all authorities cared about was looking for someone to blame or weren’t taking the time to really dig beneath the surface, they might decide to bring in more thorough independent investigators who can make sure nothing important slips through the cracks.
