Harris County, TX — February 19, 2024, a young girl was killed in a car accident shortly after 12:00 midnight along Grand Parkway.
According to authorities, six people—a 36-year-old woman, a 56-year-old woman, and four children ages 1, 3, 12, and 16—were traveling in a southbound vehicle on Grand Parkway in the vicinity of West Road when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the vehicle failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered off of the roadway and collided with a cable barrier. This caused the vehicle to overturn, rolling an unknown number of times before coming to a stop.
The 12-year-old girl—who had allegedly not been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident—was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries as a result. She was declared deceased at the scene. All of the other occupants of the vehicle reportedly sustained injuries of varying severity; they were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of the victims—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
