Authorities have reportedly recommended charges of second degree felony accident involving death and failure to stop and render aid in a fatality crash.
Abilene, TX — February 16, 2024, Brenda Ann Janiszewski Jodoin killed in hit-and-run accident shortly before 9:45 p.m. along Pine Street.
According to authorities, the accident took place on Pine Street in the vicinity of the Anson Avenue intersection.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, Jodoin—age 58—was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model. The person(s) occupying the motor vehicle neglected to stop and render aid of any kind to Jodoin. She reportedly incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident, having been declared deceased upon the arrival of emergency personnel.
