UPDATE (March 5, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify what happened leading up to and during this accident. According to these reports, a Chevy pickup truck occupied by a 21-year-old man was disabled facing east and blocking the southbound lanes of Bob Bullock Loop because of a previous crash. A 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman—purportedly good samaritans—were on foot on the south side of the pickup truck.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Corvette occupied by 25-year-old Kassandra Lozano and a 29-year-old man collided with the disabled pickup truck. The collision pushed the truck into the two pedestrians. The Corvette reportedly burst into flames as a result of the crash. The pickup truck was overturned, coming to rest on its left side.

The man from the Corvette, the two pedestrians, and the man from the pickup truck incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. Lozano suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

Laredo, TX — February 12, 2024, Kassandra Lozano was killed and four others were injured in a car accident at about 2:30 a.m. along Bob Bullock Loop.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Kassandra Lozano was traveling in a Chevy Corvette on Bob Bullock Loop in the vicinity south of the Sinatra Parkway intersection when the accident took place.

The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that three separate vehicles were involved in the accident. Lozano incurred reportedly fatal injures as a result of the wreck. Four other victims allegedly incurred injuries of unknown severity, as well.
