Fort Bend County, TX — April 2, 2024, Aliana Trevino, Bailey Natula, and one other were injured after an alleged drunk driver accident at 11:00 p.m. on Bellaire.
Investigators said in preliminary statements that the accident happened off the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Via Venezia Boulevard.

It appears that Aliana Trevino and Bailey Natula, both 19, were passengers in a Cadillac driven by a 26-year-old man. The vehicle was going westbound on Bellaire at the time when it left the road and entered the median. There, the vehicle crashed into a tree. As a result, both Trevino and Natula had serious injuries. The driver’s injuries were moderate.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
In their statements, authorities allege that the driver was intoxicated and recommended charges for intoxication assault. It’s not my place to comment on the possible charges, but I often talk about drunk driving accidents on my blog. There’s an aspect of them that doesn’t get enough attention considering how important it can be for the victims and families involved.
Simply put, if investigations show a drunk driver was over-served by a bar or similar establishment, that alcohol provider can be responsible for contributing to the accident. Despite handling hundreds of cases against those sorts of negligent alcohol providers, I’ve rarely seen authorities investigate establishments on their own. It usually takes persistence from the victims and families to get them to start asking the right questions. It remains to be seen whether or not authorities here have been more thorough.
