Moore County, TX — May 29, 2024, Jacqueline Carrera was injured following a car accident just after 1:30 p.m. along U.S. Highway 287.

According to authorities, 30-year-old Jacqueline Carrera, a 10-year-old girl, and an infant boy were traveling in a northbound Jeep Cherokee on U.S. Highway 287 approaching the C.R. I intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Ford F-350 on C.R. I entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic at a yield sign. This resulted in a collision between the two vehicles in the intersection.

Carrera suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the accident; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
