How Did This Accident Occur?

Most people would be tempted to conclude the pickup driver is guilty of something, but I’ve learned to withhold judgment in a career filled with investigating such incidents.

Perhaps the vehicle had some kind of mechanical issue, like faulty brakes or a stuck throttle.

Questions about the truck’s mechanical soundness can be answered once authorities track it down, likely by poring over nearby traffic or security cameras to identify the vehicle.
