According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:50 a.m. when a 53-year-old Federal Way man, operating a semi-truck southbound on I-5, reportedly failed to slow down for traffic and struck two vehicles, initiating a chain-reaction crash. One person, a 52-year-old woman from Vancouver, was hospitalized, while the other drivers involved were not seriously hurt.
