According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Gonzales was traveling eastbound in a pickup truck when a westbound Cadillac Escalade, driven by a 16-year-old, reportedly crossed the center line and struck the truck head-on. Authorities have not released details regarding injuries to the teen driver or any passengers in the Escalade. The investigation remains ongoing.
