Accident Report

Harris County, TX — May 25, 2026, Zayd Shabanah, Myah Shabanah and another person were injured in a car accident at about 12:10 a.m. on Eastex Freeway/Interstate 69.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2014 Nissan Juke and a 2023 Nissan Rogue collided while changing lanes as both vehicles were heading north near Winfield Road.

Rogue driver Zayd Shabanah, 33, and passenger Maya Shabanah, 24, were seriously injured in the Houston area crash, according to the report.

The Juke driver, a 33-year-old woman whose name has not been made public yet, was seriously injured as well, the report states. The 16-year-old girl riding with her suffered minor injuries.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Harris County crash at this time.
