Blanco County, TX — February 7, 2024, Zachary Vu was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 2:20 p.m. along Ranch to Market 1623.
According to authorities, 24-year-old Zachary Vu was traveling on a westbound motorcycle along R.M. 1623, River Road, in the vicinity west of the West Dam Lane intersection when the accident took place.
At the same time, a pickup truck was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound River Road from a private drive on the north side of the road. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck started the turn at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to roadway traffic. This resulted in a collision between the motorcycle and the pickup truck.
Vu incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
