Houston, TX — January 23, 2024, Xavier Colaco and six others were injured in a car versus bus accident just after 12:00 midnight along North Freeway.
According to reports, 39-year-old Xavier Colaco was traveling in a northbound Nissan Maxima on North Freeway, I.H. 45, service road in the vicinity south of West Dyna Drive when the accident took place.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly rainy and wet. A bus was reportedly stopped in the northbound lane just south of the intersection. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Nissan collided with the rear end of the bus.
Colaco incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The 47-year-old woman who had been driving the bus reportedly sustained moderate injuries, while three other women and two men who had also been occupying the bus incurred supposed minor injuries. All seven were transported to various medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment.
