Galveston, TX — May 31, 2025, a worker sustained injuries as the result of a falling accident that happened early Saturday at Ball High School.
Preliminary information about the accident says it happened on the north end of Ball High.
It appears that a worker was on a 15-foot ladder doing construction worker at the time. While working, a stack of pipes reportedly collapsed, hitting the ladder and causing the worker to fall. EMS arrived and transported the worker to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Right now, specific details about what caused the crash remain under investigation.

Construction site accidents like this can sometimes be more complex than people realize. For one, there’s the inherent challenges of examining what led to the accident and whether or not there was a lack of supervision or safety procedures that contributed. Additionally, sites sometimes have multiple companies working at the same time, so an employee from one company sometimes makes a mistake that harms someone from a different company. That can lead to legal avenues that fall outside the bounds of typical work accidents.
On top of that, it just so happens Texas has the most complex work accident laws of any other state in the country. Despite what many think, there isn’t always a guaranteed path for getting workers and families benefits after an accident.
