Lake Worth, TX — October 24, 2024, two workers were injured following an accident Thursday afternoon at a business along White Street.
Initial details about the accident say that it happened at Blaze Equipment located off Lake Worth Boulevard.

It appears that two men were operating a lift at the time. While doing so, the equipment somehow came into contact with a power line, shocking the two workers. Both workers were taken from the scene, one via helicopter, with unspecified injuries. It’s unclear if the workers were employees at the business or were outside workers doing work on the property.
Additional details are unavailable.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
While work accidents almost always involve inherent challenges, figuring things out in Texas can be a lot more of a maze than folks tend to realize. Texas work injury law is the most complex of any other state in the country due to the fact employers are not required to subscribe to the workers’ comp system. As a result, some workers and families think there is an automatic process to get them much needed benefits, but they find they’re actually up against an adversarial company whose only goal is to avoid responsibility. Taking steps to anticipate these challenges, then, is often crucial following any serious work accident.
