Around July 31, 2026, one person was killed due to a workplace accident that happened along Hufsmith-Kohrville Road.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said that the accident happened along Hufsmith-Kohrville Road/FM 2978 between Hufsmith-Kuykendahl Road and East Main Street.

The OSHA inspection detail lists “Southern Star Roofing And Seamless Gutters Llc” as the employer involved in the investigation. The exact circumstances of the accident are unclear at this time, but it may have involved a fall.
