How Did This Accident Occur?

A lot of the auto repair shop accidents I’ve seen over the years involved people being struck by moving vehicles or from vehicles or lifts crushing workers. Of course, OSHA also investigates anything from malfunctioning tools to medical emergencies to slip and falls. It’s far too early to say what exactly happened here. What’s important is making sure someone is keeping the family in the loop. One would hope OSHA would do that, but I get calls all the time from families who are left asking the same questions over and over without any clear responses. That’s when they rightfully decide to bring in independent professionals who can step in and finally shine a light on things. If authorities here have been more open with this worker’s loved ones, that would be encouraging to hear. It’s just not the sort of thing I’d ever take for granted.
