Lakeway, TX — March 9, 2026, William Whatley was killed in a single-vehicle accident just after 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of Lohmans Crossing Road.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2011 GMC Yukon was heading southeast when it left the road and crashed into a highway sign near Bella Toscana Avenue.
Driver William Whatley, 74, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to the report.
