Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Vehicles colliding head-on along a divided interstate raises serious red flags. Most glaring among them is the possibility of alcohol. A lot of crashes like this involve a driver who was unlawfully over-served by a bar or similar establishment to the point of dangerous intoxication. That alcohol provider may need to face consequences if they broke the law and contributed to a deadly crash.
That said, other possibilities can’t go overlooked without proper consideration. These accidents can also happen due to things like medical conditions, poor signage, lack of lighting, faulty road design, or other unusual emergencies. People lost their lives here, and that deserves a thorough look into all possible factors so the families know they’re getting the full story.
