According to authorities, 56-year-old William Diaz was traveling in an 18-wheeler along I.H. 10 in the vicinity of San Felipe when the accident occurred.
The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler was involved in a collision with another 18-wheeler. Diaz incurred apparently fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
