Accident Report
Harris County, TX — July 2, 2026, Victoria Segura and two juveniles were injured in a wrong-way accident on F.M. 2920 Road.
Authorities said a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was heading west when it collided with an eastbound 2017 Nissan Maxima that had been driving in the wrong lane.
Chevrolet driver Victoria Segura and the two juveniles riding with her were hospitalized with unspecified injuries after the crash, according to authorities.
The Nissan driver, who also was hospitalized, was determined to be intoxicated at the time, authorities said. It is not clear at this time if he is facing any charges related to the crash.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Harris County crash.
How Did This Accident Occur?
If authorities confirm with a blood test that the Nissan driver was intoxicated, their next step should be determining where he had been drinking before the crash.
That is not a common step for many Texas law enforcement agencies, but it is an important one because state law allows alcohol providers to be held responsible for injuries caused by patrons who were served while obviously intoxicated before they got behind the wheel.
I don’t know if that is what happened in this instance, but the injured Chevrolet driver and her family deserve to know who may have played a role in this accident.
