How Did This Accident Occur?
It’s easy to assume this crash is the result of driver error or fatigue, but I’ve been part of enough accident investigations over the past 30-plus years to know that there is no substitute for facts in these situations.
While driver error is a common cause of crashes, investigators should look into whether another car forced this vehicle off the road, or whether a mechanical problem affected its steering mechanism.
The only way to know what really happened here is to fully investigate this crash: using witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from the crashed vehicle and footage from any available traffic or dash cams to reach a conclusion based on facts, not assumptions.
