According to authorities, a 50-year-old man was traveling in an eastbound Polaris Ranger on U.S. Highway 175 in the vicinity southeast of the Lighthouse Lane intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Ranger was involved in a single-vehicle collision in which it apparently struck a guardrail.
