Garland, TX — September 15, 2024, Tyler Pendola, Nava Sagrario, and Juana Vasquez De Amaya were injured in a car accident at around 4:16 a.m. on Loop 635.
Authorities indicate that the accident took place on southbound lanes of the LBJ Freeway in the area of the Northwest Highway and Garland Road.
Investigators said that 24-year-old Tyler Pendola was in a Kia going southbound on the freeway. 52-year-old Nava Sagrario was in a GMC Terrain, and 47-year-old Juana Vasquez De Amaya was a passenger in a Nissan Titan. For reasons not clear right now, the Kia lost control and hit the side barrier. It then went across lanes of travel and hit the opposite barrier. A chain reaction then occurred involving the GMC and the Nissan.
As a result of the accident, Pendola sustained serious injuries. Sagrario and Vasquez De Amaya reportedly had less serious injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else hurt in the crash. Right now, additional details remain unconfirmed.

With a multi-car accident like this, getting answers can be a bit more complex than folks may realize. Between the chaos of the accident scene and the typical responsibilities authorities have anyway, the time and resources it takes to investigate a car accident may end up used elsewhere.
It’s one of the reasons I get so many calls from so many people unsatisfied with efforts from official investigators. When people feel they’re not getting the full story, they’re naturally going to look for other avenues through which to get the answers they deserve. Maybe authorities here have been more thorough and aren’t letting anything important slip through the cracks. Of course, I would have to see far more clear evidence to trust that’s happening.
