Accident Report

Willis, TX — May 8, 2026, Ty Rosenbusch was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 9:30 p.m. on F.M. 2432.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2000 GMC Sierra was turning left from Janet Street when it collided with an eastbound 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX motorcycle.

Motorcyclist Ty Rosenbusch, 21, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

The GMC driver, 44, was charged with intoxication assault after the crash, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Montgomery County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

I expect authorities to reconstruct this crash like any other accident, but they should look beyond the scene of this collision if blood tests confirm the GMC driver was intoxicated. They should look into where he had been drinking before the crash.

That matters, especially if he had been drinking at a bar or restaurant. Under Texas law, alcohol providers may share responsibility for injuries caused by a patron who was served while obviously intoxicated.

I don’t know if that was what happened in this instance, but it is worth investigating so the injured motorcyclist and his family will know who may have played a role in this crash.
