Chenoa, IL — October 30, 2024, one person was injured following a dual truck accident at approximately 7:00 a.m. along I.H. 55.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate Highway 55 in the vicinity of the Cemetery Avenue exit in Chenoa.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision took place between two 18-wheelers, one of which ended up catching on fire over the course of the accident. One of the victims involved in the crash suffered injuries of unknown severity, according to reports; they were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
