Chester County, PA — May 18, 2026, two construction workers were killed in a truck accident at about 6:50 p.m. on U.S. Route 30/Coatesville Downington Bypass.
Authorities said an eastbound semi-truck caused a multi-vehicle accident that struck two workers who were establishing an active work zone near mile marker 270.3.
The construction workers, whose names have not been made public yet, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Hayti, according to authorities.
Two other people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said, but it is not clear at this time how they were involved in the Valley Township accident.
