How Did This Accident Occur?
In my experience, wrong-way crashes are often attributed to a driver who had been drinking. That is not the case here, at this point, so authorities must look at other explanations.
Were the entrance signs damaged or missing where the wrong-way driver entered Dallas North Tollway? Did the vehicle have a problem with its brakes or steering mechanism?
It is up to investigators to figure out why the wrong-way vehicle ended up going the wrong direction on the toll road, and whether this crash could have been avoided. The injured driver and their families deserve answers to any lingering questions they have about this accident.
