How Did This Accident Occur?

It would be easy to dismiss this crash as a result of driver fatigue or distraction, but I have been involved in enough crash investigations over my 30-plus-year career to know that no accident is as simple as it may look at first glance.

Did drivers have any advance notice that the highway was shut down? Or maybe the car had an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? A complete investigation should address these questions, while providing answer for those affected by this crash.

Investigators should review evidence at the scene, data from the vehicles and any available traffic or dashcam footage to determine exactly how this crash unfolded.
