How Did This Accident Occur?

It would be easy to just write off this crash as the result of a distracted driver, but I’ve been involved in enough accident investigations over the years to know each one warrants a full investigation. Facts are better than assumptions in figuring out why a crash happened.

Maybe the driver was distracted by a phone call or text message. Her cell phone data should help investigators figure out if that was the case.

Maybe another vehicle forced the Cadillac to swerve off the road. Nearby traffic cams could be helpful.

Maybe the SUV had a problem with its steering mechanism. That will take a forensic examination, which experience has shown me is often beyond the scope of most police investigations.

Considering these scenarios will provide much-needed answers for those affected by this crash.
