How Did This Accident Occur?

When a car runs off the road, it’s tempting to blame the driver. Maybe he was distracted or fatigued. But what if there was another car that forced the Ford to leave the road? Or what if the Ford had a mechanical issue that affected its brakes or steering?

Investigators must consider these possibilities as they look into the evidence at the scene, data from the car’s engine control module and any available security camera footage of the crash. The facts derived from the investigation are much better than any guesses or assumptions we can make right now.
