Uvalde County, TX — November 3, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon along Ranch to Market 1022.
According to reports, a 59-year-old man was traveling in a northbound 18-wheeler some distance south of Interstate Highway 90 when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler veered off of the right side of the road before overcorrecting to the left. The maneuver caused the vehicle to go into a skid before overturning and going into a roll. During the crash, the trailer became detached from the cab. Both the cab and trailer came to rest on the west side of the road. The 59-year-old reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. Additional details—including the identity of the victim—are not currently available.
